September 2009 : UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT

East Anglia's largest motorcycle dealership has just got even larger, with Taz Motorcycles, in First Drove, taking over Stamford Superbikes in Peterborough.

And that's great news for the region's motorcyclists, with Taz owner Neil Steen pledging to boost the Suzuki brand.
Already both stores - Stamford Superbikes is in Shrewsbury Avenue, Woodston - and Taz in Fengate, are now open seven days a week.
"We have the on and off road and quad bike franchises for Suzuki and plan to offer a greater selection of new and used bikes," said Neil. "We also have plans to become the areas largest off road centre".

As well as selling new and used Suzuki machines ranging in price from between £1,200 to about £10,000, they offer servicing, repairing, MOT and training facilities.
The organisation is a flagship Suzuki store, one of only a handful throughout the country, displaying more than 100 examples of every UK model that Suzuki produces with a huge range of Demo bikes.

The takeover of Stamford Superbikes follows changes introduced by Taz earlier this year which included the opening of a dedicated scooter showroom, selling such prestigious brands as Vespa, Gilera, Piaggio and Sym.
Taz Motorcycles is also the area's only Aprilia centre and last year was awarded the prestigious Aprilia European Dealer of the Year title.

All budgets and interests are catered for, from the serious scooter enthusiast to the commuter market.
Also earlier this year Taz Motorcycles opened a new Italian-designed purpose-built Alpinestars store.
At the time, Neil said: "We're now the largest Alpinestars shop in the UK."
And today, the clothing range has gone from strength to strength. "We have a fantastic on and off-road clothes department, featuring the 2010 Alpinestars collection."
There's a range of one and two-piece leathers, with matching boots. Also stocked is leisurewear, including a wide range of caps, T-shirts - even a ladies' handbag to match a feminine fleece.
